Branch Manager
Job Description
Green Saving and Credit Cooperative Society is looking for a qualified, experienced, and results-oriented professional to join our team as a Branch Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing branch operations, leading staff, serving members effectively, and ensuring the branch achieves its operational and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise the overall activities of the branch.
- Lead, motivate, and manage branch employees to achieve organizational objectives.
- Ensure effective delivery of savings, credit, and other cooperative financial services.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase membership, savings mobilization, and loan portfolio growth.
- Monitor branch financial and operational performance and prepare regular reports for management.
- Ensure proper handling and control of cash, financial records, documents, and other branch resources.
- Ensure loans are properly processed, disbursed, monitored, and collected in accordance with the cooperative’s policies and procedures.
- Monitor loan repayment performance and take appropriate measures to minimize delinquency.
- Maintain strong relationships with members, customers, and relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, applicable laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify operational risks and take appropriate corrective measures.
- Supervise customer service and ensure members receive professional and timely services.
- Conduct regular staff performance monitoring and provide coaching and guidance.
- Promote the products and services of Green SACCO.
- Perform other related duties assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in banking, SACCOs, microfinance institutions, or other financial organizations.
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of financial services, savings, credit operations, and customer service.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage staff, resources, and branch operations effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good computer literacy and proficiency in common office applications.
